Hills Face Trails
The City of Burnside manages over 26 km of walking trails in its hills face reserves and along some of its major creek lines. Some are short trails suitable for exploring reserves where we are undertaking native vegetation restoration, while others are more extensive and link to trails on State Government reserves and further into the Adelaide Hills.
The most extensive trails are in the Mount Osmond and Chambers Gully area. Read more about the Chambers Gully and Mount Osmond Trails and suggested walks in the Burnside Walks(PDF, 4MB) pamphlet, with bushwalking notes and map.
Trails Review and Action Plan 2022
In March 2022 the Council adopted a Trails Review and Action Plan which will guide the management of the trails network throughout the Burnside Hills Face.
The review conducted a thorough audit of all existing trails, surveyed trail users and proposes improvements to the trail network, signage and maintenance.
