Event Entry

The event will take place on Friday 8 December in Hazelwood Park from 4.30 pm followed by an outdoor movie night.

This is a free, non-ticketed event.

Event Time

  • Gates open at 4 pm
  • Carols in the Park 4.30 pm - 8 pm
  • Outdoor Movie Night  - 8.20 pm approximate start time
  • Outdoor Movie will conclude 10 pm approximately 
  • Artisan Markets 5 pm - 9 pm
  • Food Trucks 5 pm - 9 pm
  • Kids' Village 5 pm - 6.30 pm

Parking

  • Limited parking available in Hazelwood Park car parks.
  • Street parking in neighbouring streets.
  • Parking available at Burnside Civic Centre, 401 Greenhill Road - 15 minute walk to Hazelwood Park.

Please be considerate of local residents and adhere to parking rules. Council Rangers will be on duty during the event. 

What to bring 

  • Picnic rugs, blankets, low chairs
  • Refillable water bottles (we will have an SA Water Quench Bench available)
  • Sunscreen, hats
  • Christmas cheer! 

Access and Inclusion

  • Hazelwood Park is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
  • If you require further assistance in accessing the park please call 8366 4200 or email communitydevelopment@burnside.sa.gov.au to discuss how we can help.
  • AUSLAN interpreters will be live interpreting the Carols in the Park event.
  • There will limited seating available for those requiring assistance.
  • A sensory tent will be available.

Food and Drink

Details to be released soon. Stay turned for some exciting and delicious food and drink options. 

Dogs

Please consider leaving your dog at home however if this is not possible dogs must be on a lead and correctly restrained at all times.

Cancellation 

In the event of severe weather the event will be cancelled. This will be announced on the City of Burnside Facebook page
