The Youth Art Intensive program is run annually. Keep an eye on this page for information about the 2025 program.

2024 Program

Ten young people joined forces with local Adelaide Artist, Lucinda Penn to create a stunning piece of artwork that is now displayed in the Youth Space at the Civic Centre. 

Lucinda guided the participants through a series of fun and creative activities including:

  • Word Association: to spark imagination with creative word games.
  • Symbolic Design Exercises: to discover the power of symbols in art.
  • Art Techniques and Mediums: to experiment with different styles and materials to develop your unique artistic skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must live, work or study within the City of Burnside.
  • Applicants must be aged between 13 - 18 years
  • Applicants must submit at least 3 photographs of their previous completed work
  • Applicants must commit to attending the three full day workshop dates.
