Youth Action Plan
We're currently developing a Youth Action Plan for the City of Burnside.
We are doing this by:
- connecting with as many people aged 12-25 as we can to hear how they think Council can support them.
- chatting with service providers, community groups and sporting clubs who are in the area to gain an understanding of the needs of young people and to identify gaps.
- conducting research to ensure our programs and events are evidence based and consider industry trends.
The Burnside Youth Action Plan is all about tackling the key issues young people face, like education, jobs, mental health, and getting involved in the community. It will be designed to uplift and empower youth, giving them a chance to speak up and help shape a better future for everyone in the City of Burnside.
Keep an eye on this page for updates as the Action Plan progresses.
Have Your Say
We want to link up with people age 12-25 who live, work, study or hang out in the City of Burnside so we know what programs and services we can provide to support you thrive.
We have a survey open at the moment until 15 December 2024, which we'd love for you to complete.
Click here to be taken to the survey.
It's completely anonymous, but if you put in your email at the end of the survey you can go in the draw to win 1 of 5 $100 Burnside Village gift vouchers.
The responses from the survey (and some other consultation we are doing) will form the Youth Action Plan we are currently developing.
