The purpose of the Justice of the Peace Volunteer is to continue to enhance the City of Burnside's image as a premium Customer Service Provider. The role must be held by an appointed SA Justice of the Peace who will witness the signing of documents such as affidavits and statutory declarations, and certify copies of documents for members of the Burnside community.
Required:
Various Shifts - Monday - Friday 10am - 12noon and 1pm - 3pm
Where: City of Burnside, Civic Centre - JP Office
Responsibilities:
The City of Burnside Justice of the Peace Volunteer is customer focused and administrative as they provide document witnessing and certification services to the broader community. As a JP volunteer, you will have a responsibility to provide a free and timely service that is accessible to all members of the community.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations
- A good understanding of the local community and its needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain impartial in decision making
- Ensure Justice of the Peace appointment and knowledge is current
Experience/Qualifications:
- Working with the aged and dealing with the general public
- Current National Police Check
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- ability to work in a team environment
