The annual Environment Awards celebrate excellence and sustainability practices within our community by showcasing our local champions who have demonstrated a substantial environmental impact.
Nominations now open.
You can nominate yourself, a nature champion, school, organisation or an inspiring group with a project or initiative that has a positive impact on the environment in Burnside.

$1,000 Sponsorship
Runner-Up Environment Award
$500 Sponsorship*
*The panel may choose to select several runner-up awards depending on the quality of applications.
An offer of sponsorship is a prize designed to go towards supporting an ongoing environment initiative. For example equipment purchase, training and development, and marketing.
The project or initiative must have a demonstrated benefit in the City of Burnside Local Government Area. Please see a list of nomination ideas below.
- Leading an environmental group.
- An inspiring school project.
- Promoting environmental sustainability.
- Rescuing injured native animals.
- A sustainable garden.
- Improving eco-efficiency in a household.
- Restoring bushland.
- A local business making positive change.

Presentation of Awards
Award winners will be announced at our Environment & Sustainability EXPO to be held on the 15th of June at the Burnside Civic Centre.
