Bicycle Network Plan

The City of Burnside’s Bicycle Network Plan (BNP) aims to make cycling a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone, and more easily connect key destinations both within Council and in neighbouring councils. The final BNP includes three existing east-west primary routes, three new north-south routes, and several secondary routes. There are a number of treatments to improve the routes, which will be implemented over the coming years.

The BNP was developed following two rounds of community consultation, as well as consultation with key stakeholders including the Burnside Bicycle User Group, Bike Adelaide, Bicycle SA, neighbouring Councils, the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, and RAA. It was endorsed by Council on 18 February 2025.

A copy of the BNP can be downloaded below. The interactive map allows you to look at the routes and treatments in more detail. This map will be updated as projects are funded, underway and completed.
