Open Space Layer

We are developing an Open Space Layer to complement our City Master Plan, which will allow Council to holistically manage our parks and reserves and help us to balance the many growing and sometimes competing needs placed on our open spaces. The Open Space Layer will be a game-changer that will set the direction for our parks and reserves for the next decade and beyond. It will identify gaps in our open space needs and provide recommendations to address those gaps. It will provide the basis for decisions about how our spaces and the facilities and buildings in those spaces should be shared and used. Ultimately, it will help us decide what should go where in terms of recreation, sport, and other community uses, while also balancing such considerations as the environment and Kaurna heritage.
