Parking Information & Enforcement
There are many good reasons to look for and follow the instructions on parking signs in the City of Burnside.
As a resident or a visitor, you will be helping yourself and others by reducing traffic congestion. Along with improving road safety, letting buses, service and emergency vehicles navigate our streets more easily and effectively, as well as improving the overall look and feel of the local environment. Not only that, you will also avoid the fines that are applicable to various parking offences under the Australian Road Rules and help us help you with better management of our parking and traffic flow.
The City of Burnside has developed this Parking Brochure(PDF, 980KB) - a straightforward guide to safe, sensible and thoughtful parking in an attempt to educate the community on the various parking regulation's that exist within our community.
Parking Enforcement
The City of Burnside will continue to be active in the community with the enforcement of the Australian Road Rules.

If you were not the driver at the time of the offence(s) or if you sold the vehicle and transferred ownership before the offence, please complete the below Expiation Notice Driver at Fault Nomination(PDF, 151KB) form and provide the full name and address details of the driver/owner/principal offender. Incomplete Nomination forms cannot be accepted.
Fees
The City of Burnside is not responsible for the fees that are associated with parking offences and they are set by the State Government. The South Australian Current Regulations outlines the fees and their corresponding offence code.
As of 3 February 2014 all expiations and reminder notices not paid by the due date will be enforced with the Fines Enforcement and Recovery Unit. For more information please visit www.fines.sa.gov.au for Changes to Fines in South Australia Information Sheet.
If you are experiencing severe financial hardship and cannot afford to pay your expiation by the due date please contact the Fines Enforcement & Recovery Unit on 1800 659 538 or visit www.fines.sa.gov.au to make alternative arrangements.
