Learn the basics of first aid techniques through hands-on practice.

This workshop is part of the City of Burnside's FISCH program, Family Initiative Supporting Children's Health.

Bookings are essential.

This non-accredited course by Kat from Safe Sprouts is delivered in a relaxed environment with no assessments and plenty of hands-on practice for relevant first aid techniques.

Kat is a qualified paramedic and clinical educator and has also been a Combat Medic for the Australian Defence Force.

In this 2 hour workshop, we will be covering:

- Transport Safety (Kat is also a qualified restraint fitter)

- Water Safety and Drowning Prevention

- DRSABCD/CPR

- Defibrillation

- Life Threatening Bleeding

- Choking

It is ideal for new parents, guardians and/or carers of young children, including baby sitters and grandparents.
