Community Engagement Framework

Council is committed to engaging the Burnside community in order to inform Council’s decision making.

Although the responsibility for decision making rests with the elected body of Council, effective, ongoing, timely and best practice community engagement as an integral part of local governance and key decision making.

The City of Burnside has a structured approach to engagement outlines in Council's Engagement Framework. The framework outlines:

• the different levels of engagement, how Council will engage and what techniques we will use to engage.
• why Council engages
• the steps in the decision making process.
