Season 2024/25
The George Bolton Swimming Centre will reopen on 30 November for the 2024/25 swimming season. We look forward to seeing you there.
The Swimming Centre is an outdoor seasonal facility, generally operating between September and April each year.

Active Members (Multi-Visit Pass and 12 Month Memberships)
All multi-visit passes are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.
All 12 month memberships, that allow unlimited access to the Centre throughout the outdoor season, have a 12 month expiry from the date of purchase.
If you have an active membership with the Centre, please feel free to check in with our friendly reception team to confirm visits remaining and current expiry.
Car Parking
The main car park for the Swimming Centre is located off Howard Tce. There is also 2 hour parking access along the west side of Howard Tce. For those with a disabled parking permit, you may use the access road via Davenport Tce and park closer to the Centre. A boom gate with intercom system restricts entry to other vehicles.
Schools/Hirers
All hirers need to have read and understood the 'Conditions of Hire' and complete the 'Pool Booking Form'. Schools looking to book in carnivals, must contact the Centre and fill out the 'Pool Booking Form' and 'Carnival Booking Form'. The Centre staff require a copy of the hirer's certificate of currency.
Schools wishing to use the Centre for recreation weeks (last two weeks of term 4) are able to enquire and book as of the start of term 4.
Schools within the City of Burnside can book as of week 1 in term 4, schools outside this area can book as of week 2 in term 4.
Employment Opportunities
Opportunities to work at the George Bolton Swimming Centre Burnside arise prior to and throughout the summer season for qualified Lifeguards, Customer Service and Swimming Instructors. Lifeguards and Customer Service staff are required to hold a current First Aid Certificate and Pool Lifeguard Award.
Swimming Instructors must hold a Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification and First Aid/CPR Certificates.
Please note: all employees must obtain a Working With Children check (Department of Human Services) and CSE (Child Safe Environment) training.
