Hills Face Vegetation Management Framework
To guide the management and restoration of our hills face reserves and roadsides The City of Burnside has developed the Hills Face Vegetation Management Framework 2019. This plan sets out the priorities and standards we aim for in managing both bushfire fuel reduction and the conservation and regeneration of indigenous flora and fauna.
Many of the principles and actions contained in the plan are also relevant to private property owners who wish to manage their land for fuel reduction and conservation.

At an operational level Council is also developing:
- a comprehensive set of Vegetation Management Plans
- native flora databases
- spatial data on woody weed populations and fuel risk
