Wild Fibres is a group of artists with a common interest in fibre and textile arts as well as other media (leatherwork and basketry). The group first came together in 2005. Each artist works independently but come together to exhibit. They have chosen the title A frayed (Knot) for Wild Fibres’ eleventh exhibition and second at Pepper Street Arts Centre.

Some of the artists have responded to the title A frayed (Knot) literally while others have taken a more conceptual approach. Artists can use sound of "afraid" and "not" to explore quite different interpretations.

This will be a contemporary and exciting exhibition with a vibrant mix of  2D and 3D works. There will be some common themes expressed in their creations that will span knotting, tying together to becoming tangled up or frazzled along with ideas about family, fear and courage and the importance of connections when faced with settling in a new land.

A Frayed (K)not will be on display at Pepper Street Arts Centre, 558, Magill Road, Magill from  28 September until 19 October 2012.
